Recently a new Club Committee has been formed with the aim of revitallising the club. The main bar of the building has been redocorated with the help of volunteers and now community groups including The Scouts and the Local History Society are using the club regularly. Wednesday is Youth Group night.

We welcome new members and hope to see many more people, including families enjoying the excellent facilities we are now creating.

BEDWYN BRITISH LEGION CLUB UPDATE

The new RBL Club Committee have been working to turn the Club round for six months. We now have over 150 Members, the bar is profitable and the hall booked on most nights during the week. Since the Club bar was repainted, we have had new lights fitted. Preparations to finish the decorating of the bar have been made and we have recently remounted some wonderful old Legion photographs which will be put up after the decoration is complete. The bar is now a warm, friendly environment for Branch Members to meet and socialise.

A large 46"  flat screen TV HAS BEEN installed in time for the World Cup and the Club will be open to the community for the Cup Final; Members will be able to watch World Cup matches during normal opening hours.

Thanks to all those who helped with the Big Spring Clean in April. The Snooker Room walls have been prepared for painting and all the glass removed ready to be replaced by a safer alternative. The small anteroom next to the Snooker Room has been cleared ready for redecoration. We will announce when the Snooker Room is ready for Members to use.

One of our next planned projects is an outdoor 'garden' area and we would welcome any volunteers or suitable quality garden picnic benches/furniture. If you would like to join the Branch and Club, book the hall or volunteer for a project please call Jane Pendry on 01672 870 445.
